OUR HISTORY
GTL Trucking is a family-owned trucking company specializing in livestock and grain transportation.
Established in 2012 by Tim, Joel, and Aaron Groenenboom, GTL's initial fleet consisted of one truck and one cattle liner.
Due to the industry's growing demands, expansion happened quickly. Today GTL has nearly 70 units on the road.
Joel managed GTL from 2012 until the end of May 2022, at which point he moved into an opportunity to be co-manager of Barrhill Feeders Inc.
Dana Maljaars had worked as the General Manager of Motion Mechanical for several years until taking Joel's place as the General Manager of GTL. In May 2023 Tim, Joel and Aaron welcomed Dana as a partner in both GTL and Motion Mechanical.
In January 2023, GTL purchased a property with a shop and offices on the corner of Hwy 519 and Hwy 23, just west of Nobleford Alberta, which has enabled them to combine GTL and Motion Mechanical into one building.
In June of 2023, GTL expanded into grain and bulk transport, kicking off a fleet of Super B grain trailers.
